What it costs
Aalto charges among the higher Finnish fees, but its scholarships are generous and the region’s student housing keeps living costs down.
- Tuition: roughly €15,000/year for a non-EU/EEA master’s; EU/EEA citizens pay no tuition
- Scholarships: Aalto offers tuition waivers of 50% or 100%, with some packages adding a relocation or living grant for top applicants
- Living costs: about €900–€1,300/month; HOAS and AYY student housing in Espoo is cheaper than central Helsinki

- Admission requirements: a relevant bachelor’s, transcripts, motivation letter and references; the GRE is recommended for some tech and business master’s, and design needs a portfolio
- Language proficiency: typically IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT ~92
